Abstract
In this article, we first present the basic definitions of the Involute and flat evolute curves, along with their history. Then, we briefly introduce the properties related to these curves and their applications, and we present the basic formulas for calculating the parametric equations of the involute of any arbitrary curve. In the following, the involute curves are presented for several examples, including a circle, a semi-cubic parabola, a catenary curve, and a cyclic curve.
