چکیده
نویسنده در این مقاله به سهم ریاضیات یونانی در شکل‌گیری و تکامل آنالیز ریاضی می‌پردازد. عناصر مهم در این بررسی عبارت‌اند از تحلیل و ترکیب، عدد و کمیت، و نسبت و تناسب که همگی ریشه در ‏تفکر فلسفی کهن یونان و کتاب ‎اصول‎ اقلیدس دارند.
